Refund Policy

You can request a refund on a one-time work purchase if it is still unopened and it was made within the last 7 days. "Unopened" means you have not yet opened the work in your library — opening it records the moment of first access.

Once you open a work, or once 7 days have passed, the sale is final. This protects writers, because the full text cannot be returned after it has been read.

Regardless of the window, contact us about duplicate charges, payments that were taken without access being granted, technical faults that made the work unreadable, unauthorized card use, or a listing that materially misrepresented the work.

Open the purchase in your library and use "Request a refund". Tell us briefly what happened. Requests are reviewed by the Scripttopia team, normally within three business days.

The full amount is returned to your original payment method, typically within five to ten business days depending on your bank. Reading access to that work is revoked at the same time, and the writer's share of the sale is reversed.

Partial refunds work the same way, proportionally: the writer's share is reversed only for the amount refunded. Scripttopia's 5% marketplace transaction fee is never charged on refunded amounts, and each refund and reversal is recorded once, so a purchase can never be refunded or clawed back twice.

Writer and Pro Writer memberships can be canceled at any time and stop billing at the end of the paid period. Part-used months are not refunded. The 30-day free trial is never charged, so there is nothing to refund if you decide not to continue. See the Terms of Service.
