Marketplace transaction fee
Scripttopia charges a 5% fee on every completed sale.
- The 5% fee applies to all paid works sold through Scripttopia — books, poetry, manuscripts, screenplays, scripts, and other eligible written works. You keep 95%.
- It is separate from your monthly membership (Writer or Pro Writer) and separate from payment processing fees, which are always shown to you as their own line on each sale.
- It is calculated on the work's price only — never on sales tax, refunded amounts, or any other non-product charge.
- The 30-day free trial waives membership charges, not the 5% transaction fee. Founding Writers keep their locked-in membership rate and also pay the standard 5% fee.
- Example: a $19.99 sale means $1.00 to Scripttopia and $18.99 paid out to you.
You keep every right to your work. Always.
Listing on Scripttopia grants no rights to us or to any publisher. Private manuscripts stay invisible until you say otherwise.
